What is Operation Theatre Technology?

Bachelor in Operation Theatre Technology (BOTT) or BSc Operation Theatre Technology (BSc OTT) is a paramedical undergraduate course.
It trains students to assist doctors and surgeons during surgical operations and manage equipment in the operation theatre (OT).

Operation theatre technologists help in:

• Preparing the operation room

• Handling surgical instruments

• Assisting surgeons and anesthetists

• Maintaining sterility and safety during surgery

Duration

• 3 years academic study

• 6 months – 1 year internship

Eligibility

To take admission in this course:

• 12th pass with PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology)

• Minimum 45–50% marks (varies by college)
