What is B.Optom / BSc Optometry?

Bachelor of Optometry (B.Optom / BSc Optometry) is an undergraduate paramedical course that trains students to examine, diagnose, and manage vision and eye-related problems.

Optometrists help patients with:

• Vision correction (glasses, contact lenses)

• Eye diseases detection (cataract, glaucoma)

• Vision therapy and rehabilitation

• Preventive eye care

They play a key role in eye care and ocular health management.

Duration

• 4 years academic study

• 6 months compulsory internship

Eligibility
