Course Description

What is DPT?

Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) is a professional doctoral degree in physiotherapy. It prepares students to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with movement disorders, pain, and physical impairments.

• Focuses on advanced clinical practice and evidence-based physiotherapy.

• Equivalent to a clinical doctorate in other healthcare fields.

• Can be pursued after 12th (entry-level DPT) or after BPT (postgraduate DPT) depending on the program structure.

• Entry-Level DPT (after 12th): 6 years (including internship)

• Postgraduate DPT (after BPT): 3 years

• 12th pass with PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology)

• Minimum 50% marks

Postgraduate / Advanced DPT:

• Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT)
