What is BMLT?

Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Technology (BMLT) is a paramedical undergraduate course that trains students to perform laboratory tests used to diagnose diseases.

Medical laboratory technologists analyze samples such as:

• Blood

• Urine

• Tissue

• Body fluids

These tests help doctors detect diseases like:

• Infections

• Diabetes

• Cancer

• Blood disorders

Duration

• 3 years academic study

• 6 months – 1 year internship (depends on university)

Eligibility

To take admission in BMLT:

• 12th Science (PCB or PCM)

• Minimum 45–50% marks (varies by college)
